Research

Sedimentology of coal-bearing strata in relation to basin development, fault controlled lithofacies distribution and coal bed occurrence. Environmental studies include controls on acid mine drainage and relationship between rock type, structural setting and slope stability. Controls on the quantity and occurrence of methane in coal beds and extraction techniques. Member of the Editorial Boards for International Journal of Coal Geology and Journal of Asian Earth Science.
